Located in "downtown" Wellesley, Chef Michael Schlow's much hyped new Italian restaurant ... lives up to the hype! We absolutely loved the warm, modern dining room and friendly-yet-formal service. But the food is the main attraction here. Start with antipasti: grilled asparagus, white beans with rosemary, fresh Sicilian tuna, shrimp with beans, and delicate prosciutto with peppers. From there, at lunch, you have a battery of salads, thin-crust pizza (try the broccoli rabe with sausage, or the more classic prosciutto and arugala) and hot pressed panini sandwiches. For mains we loved the crisp potato gnocchi (with sausage) and, of course the perfectly cooked hangar steak with fingerling potatoes. The only downside, as far as we can tell, is the need to slog up Route 16 to get there...
