Beacon Street Tavern 1032 Beacon St USA Brookline, MA 617.713.2700 Like the sister Washington Square Tavern this new pub, opened in 2007, started in a tricky area - one where restaurants, pubs and other stores have come and go. However, we really like this incarnation, which is warm and inviting, decorated in rich browns and reds. The food is excellent and solid. There are no cheese plates here, but you will find perfect Teriyaki steak tips served with incredible french fries, and a green salad with a sharp italian dressing that goes perfectly with the meat and potato. Highly recommended, and moderately priced.
