Who Are The Bags?

  • Lead Guitar: Crispin Wood (below, at right)

One of Boston's best guitar players, Crispin mixes Hendrixy leads with classic garage crunch that shows shades of The Bad Brains, The Ramones, Led Zeppelin and many other great bands. In addition to rocking out with The Bags he pens the superb cartoon Rock School Be sure to check out his website: CrispinWood.com.

  • Drums: Jim Janota (above, middle)
Jim is one of the most powerful drummers in the Boston scene, if not the free world. His driving rhythms and perfect timing keep The Bags honest, while letting them lumber, stumble, thrash or hammer. His career includes stints with The United States, The Lyres and Upper Crust

  • Bass Guitar and Vocals: Jon Hardy

One of the most recognizable parts of The Bags mighty and irreverent sound, Jon Hardy is an innovative vocalist and one of the most jamming bass players around. His clever lyrics and amusing vocal stylings are nearly eclipsed by his Reggae-influened tone and awesome improvisational style.
